The Reach Into Cultural Heights (RICH) organization empowers students to develop a confident, positive mindset and to see themselves as capable learners in today’s world. Through the RICH 4 Guiding Principles—I matter, I am responsible, I am considerate, and I use thinking strategies for school success—we nurture self-directed growth and leadership. With this foundation, the RICH team equips young leaders to thrive in an evolving digital academic landscape shaped by emerging innovative technologies.
RICH Guiding Principles
Our purpose is to inspire young leaders to confidently navigate digital learning while believing that they matter and can make a positive difference. Our students become self-directed learners who are confident role models in their schools and communities.
I Matter
The first goal of the RICH organization is to impress upon each student that: THEY MATTER! Every student deserves to feel seen and valued. Every student learns that they’re born for a purpose of making the world a better place. The RICH approach is to empower students to be confident that their voices and goals are important through our main Guiding Principle, the first of which is: I MATTER.
I am Responsible
The RICH Goal is to encourage students to put forth more effort to improve self management skills. Our students articulate new attitudes about their abilities and set realistic academic goals. More than 1500 students have received the RICH training who have been guided to become caring and responsible learners. RICH’s Reach For Success Program, motivates students to create positive learning environments in their schools and beyond their classroom. Using the RICH Reach For Success 4 Guiding Program Principles, one of which is: RESPONSIBILITY.
I am Considerate
The RICH organization influences the mindset of young leaders on its digital platforms by empowering them to model self-respect and respect for others. The RICH approach guides students to see themselves as peer-leaders that fosters one of the 4 Guiding Principles: TO BE CONSIDERATE.
I Use Thinking Strategies
RICH empowers students with proven thinking strategies that build lasting academic success. RICH students are inspired to develop positive mindsets, set intentional goals, and practice confidence-building behavior. Guided by RICH principles, they practice self-management skills and use uplifting self-talk to stay motivated, face their obstacles, and take purposeful steps toward achieving their goals with resilience and pride.
